Theodore Wirth Pkwy Scheduled To Close Aug 1 For Catch Basin Repair

The City of Minneapolis is performing catch basin repair near the eastern border of Golden Valley that requires a full closure of Theodore Wirth Pkwy beginning Aug 1. The road is expected to reopen by Aug 5.

Detour Map

The existing catch basins are currently collapsing, and the parkway is not wide enough to accommodate flagged traffic through the site; therefore, a complete closure of the work area is needed.

Pavement restoration will follow soon after, and the same detour will be in affect again.

For more information on the road work, contact Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board Engineering Technician Thomas Johnson.
