Bike Or Walk To This Year’s Golden Valley Arts & Music Festival

Hennepin County is encouraging attendees of this year’s Sept 14 Golden Valley Arts & Music Festival to walk or bike to the event as part of its Active Living Initiative.

Active Living promotes policy, systems, and environmental change to make parts of the county more bikeable and walkable. For the festival, the County is looking to provide wayfinding signage for bicyclists coming off the Luce Line Trail and will set up a bicycle corral for festival attendees to drop off their bikes while they wander the festival.

At the festival, representatives from the County and the City will be asking attendees to complete a survey and other interactive exercises to gather opinions about the current state of bicycle and pedestrian pathways in Golden Valley. Information gathered will help in planning future bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure.
