Unsafe Roads Caused Republic Services To Miss Pickups Dec 30

Due to the unsafe road conditions Republic Services was not able to pick up the recycling from a few areas in Golden Valley Dec 30. Trucks will be sent out today to gather the missed recycling west of Hwy 100. Customers in the blue service area east of Hwy 100 will also be picked up today.

Crews Planning For A Full Plow Starting At 2 AM, Dec 31

City plow crews will continue to plow up to rush hour today, Dec 30, and will return Dec 31, 2 am, for a full plow before the morning rush hour. Sidewalk crews will begin at 6 am and focus on plowing priority 1 and 2 sidewalks.
Narrow Lot Study Open Forum Scheduled For Jan 16, 7 PM

The City is holding a moderated public forum at City Hall Thur, Jan 16, 7 pm, for residents to share thoughts on the potential issues regarding narrow lots in Golden Valley.
City Crews To Begin De-Icing Operations Dec 30 At 7 am

With snow expected overnight, crews will be starting at 7 am Dec 30 to de-ice city streets. Crews will then monitor the roadways into rush hour and return overnight, with plans to do a full plow around 2 am Dec 31 (subject to change according to weather).

Dec 28 Recycling Collection Canceled Due To Weather

Due to weather and icy road conditions, Republic Services will not be collecting recycling today (Dec 28, 2019). For those scheduled for recycling pick-up today, the next collection day will be FRIDAY JANUARY 10, 2020. Republic Services has informed the City that residents may place recyclables that will not fit in their containers into bags for collection.
Plow Crews Prepping Roads For Mix Of Rain And Snow

In anticipation of 1+ inches of snow early morning Sat Dec 28, street crews are out today anti-icing roads. The snow is expected to transition into rain around 11 am Saturday morning. Crews will be monitoring road conditions and respond as necessary throughout the weekend.
