Sweeney Lake Water Quality Project Open House Being Held April 8 At Brookview

An informational open house is being held April 8, 5:30–7:30 pm at Brookview for community members to learn about the Sweeney Lake Water Quality Improvement Project. The open house is hosted by the Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission (BCWMC), in cooperation with the City of Golden Valley and the Sweeney Lake Association.

City Preparing For County Mandated Organics Collection

Beginning Jan 1, 2022, Hennepin County is requiring all a cities with more than 10,000 residents make curbside organics recycling available to those living in single-family to fourplex households. Prior to then, the City is looking into what an organics program could look like in Golden Valley.
