CenterPoint’s Gas Main Work On Winnetka Moves Across 36th Ave N

As part of its continuing Metro Belt Line Project, CenterPoint Energy is working on Winnetka Ave N between 10th Ave and 42nd Ave N in Golden Valley, New Hope, and Crystal through November 2020. Work will occur in four phases, and drivers should expect delays for the duration of the project and use alternate routes.

The multiyear project involves replacing more than 60 miles of large-diameter pipeline originally installed in the 1940s and 1950s. The pipeline modernization program aims to ensure continued safe, reliable delivery of natural gas that homes and businesses depend on for heating, cooking, and hot water.

Although four-way traffic will be maintained during construction, drivers should be aware that the intersection configuration will change and to take precautions when in the area.
