VirtualREC Adds Three More Youth Programs

The Golden Valley Parks and Recreation Department’s new online recreation option, VirtualREC, is adding three more youth programs to it’s catalog.

My Shadow and Me: Let’s Get Moving—In this virtual class, children and their shadows (adult) will explore movement and large motor skills together using basic sports motions like jumping, throwing, and balancing. Participants will develop skills through the use of balls, simple games, and obstacle courses. Program will run 15-20 minutes.

Preschool Athletics Basketball—This fun and active virtual program is specifically designed to provide 3 to 6-year-olds an introductory basketball experience. Using a virtual platform each week, the program will focus on basic skill development, fundamentals, and fun activities. Program will run 25-30 minutes.

Preschool Athletics T-Ball—This fun and active virtual program is specifically designed to provide 3 to 6-year-olds an introductory baseball/softball experience. Using a virtual platform each week, the program will focus on basic skill development, fundamentals, and fun activities. Program will run 25-30 minutes.

All programs require online registration. After registration, participants will be emailed class details and access to the virtual classroom. More information, including links to register, can be found on the VirtualREC web page.
