Council Approves Emergency Funding Allocation From GVHSC Due To COVID-19

At its May 5 meeting, the Golden Valley City Council approved an emergency funding allocation from the Golden Valley Human Services Commission (GVHSC) to area organizations working to help people affected by COVID-19.

Allocations are as follows:

  • Crisis Nursery, $3,000
  • Dinner at Your Door, $5,500
  • PRISM, $12,500
  • Senior Services HOME, $4,500
  • Senior Services Outreach, $3,000
  • Sojourner Project, $5,000
  • The Bridge for Youth, $3,000
  • TreeHouse, $2,000
  • HUG, $3,000
  • Resource West, $3,000
  • Community Mediation, $2,000

Give To The GVHSC

So the commission can keep allocating funds to local organizations helping people in need, the GVHSC is calling on residents, who are able, to consider making a tax-deductible donation of $10, $20, $30, or more. Donations can be made by credit card, check, or money order.
