Work Starts May 9 On Fiber Project Near Winnetka And 10th Aves

Starting Saturday, May 9, Rock Underground will be working on a fiber project in the vicinity of Winnetka Ave  N and 10th Ave. The work will include a lane shift on Winnetka Ave Monday and Tuesday, May 11-12. The area will be marked with cones and signs.

Crews will be potholing utilities in the boulevard along 10th Ave on Saturday. On Monday, they will begin boring under the railroad tracks near Winnetka Ave and 10th Ave.

This operation will include drilling from Faribault (near the tracks) to across from Orkla and from Faribault to the Golden  Valley Library. The final shot will be from Orkla towards the east side of Winnetka. The contractor plans to place equipment on the side streets and off the main road as much as possible.
