Brookview Golf Course and Three One Six Bar + Grill will close early Saturday, May 30 in accordance with the city-wide nighttime curfew enacted by the Golden Valley City Council in an emergency meeting May 29. Brookview’s driving range will close at 6 pm, Three One Six will close at 7 pm, and the regulation and par 3 courses and practice greens will close at 7:30 pm. Read More

The Golden Valley City Council held an emergency meeting Friday, May 29, 9 pm to pass an ordinance imposing a city-wide nighttime curfew consistent with Gov. Walz’s Emergency Order 20-65. The curfew took immediate effect after the Council’s passage of the ordinance and will be in effect until Saturday, May 30, 2020, 6 am. The curfew will go into effect again Saturday, May 30, 8 pm until Sunday, May 31, 6 am. During the curfew, all persons must not travel on any public street or in any public place in the City of Golden Valley. Read More

Utility work will begin on Winnetka Ave June 1 for the 2020 CenterPoint Energy Belt Line project. Crews will be working between 42nd Ave in New Hope and 10th Ave in Golden Valley replacing natural gas mains and connecting natural gas service lines. Read More

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz announced May 20 that restaurants and other places of social gathering, like bars and breweries, can open June 1 while following certain safety measures. In response, the City of Golden Valley will temporarily amend its zoning code and liquor license requirements to allow local restaurants to meet these new mandatory safety measures. Read More
