Learn How To Vote Absentee; Golden Valley Precinct 4 Gets New Polling Place

Although the State of Minnesota and Hennepin County are urging residents to absentee vote by mail for the Aug 11 Primary Election, residents should know there are multiple ways to cast a vote.

By Mail

To receive an absentee ballot, you’ll need to complete and submit an absentee ballot application online or by mail. Once your completed and signed application is received, your absentee ballot will be mailed to you with instructions. Fill out the ballot and mail it back right away. Your ballot will not count if it is received after Election Day.

Residents may also vote absentee in-person at City Hall Tue, Aug 4–Fri, Aug 7, 8 am–4:30 pm; Sat, Aug 8, 10 am–3 pm; and Mon, Aug 10, 8 am–5 pm.

Primary Election Day

Polling places will be open 7 am–8 pm on Primary Election Day. Residents can find their polling place here.

For more information, visit the Absentee Voting page on the City website or contact the Golden Valley City Clerk at 763-593-8012 or kluedke@goldenvalleymn.gov.

Voters In Precinct 4 Will Vote At A New Location This Year

For the Aug 11 Primary Election and Nov 3 General Election, the City of Golden Valley will not use LOGIS as the Precinct 4 polling location. The new location is Sandburg Middle School (2400 Sandburg Ln). Hennepin County will send postcards to all Precinct 4 residents notifying them of the change.

For more information on polling locations in Golden Valley, visit the City website.
