Help The City Shape The Future Of It’s City Hall, Public Safety, And Public Works Campuses

The City of Golden Valley is asking for public input as part of its Facilities Study to help shape the future of its civic campus. Community members are asked to watch the Facilities Study Open House and take the survey to make sure all voices are heard.
The Facilities Study was prompted by a need to update aging facilities that don’t efficiently support the City’s current or future operational needs, meet standards for gender equity and modern staffing models, or cause inefficiencies and safety concerns resulting from locating heavy equipment in Golden Valley’s main business district. Also, a recent study of the downtown area identified opportunities for private development at the northeast quadrant of Golden Valley Rd and Winnetka Ave, where the City Hall campus is located.
In October, the City Council appointed a task force comprised of residents and business representatives to provide insight and perspective throughout the study’s process. This virtual open house is the first of two community engagement efforts planned to obtain input from residents.
After watching the video, take this survey. The survey will be live Dec 11-Jan 11. Residents who prefer to complete the survey offline, can call the City at 763-593-3987 to request a paper copy. Paper copies are also available in the Public Safety building lobby.
