Residents Encouraged To Participate In The Metro Blue Line Extension Planning Process

In August 2020, the Metropolitan Council and Hennepin County announced the METRO Blue Line Extension Light Rail Transit (LRT) project will no longer follow the initially planned route and will need to find an improved route location that does not use approximately 8 miles of freight railroad property as proposed. Public input and participation is needed to accomplish this goal and residents are encouraged to step up.
