Hennepin County Hosts Property Assessment Meetings

Current News Posted on April 03, 2025

Each March, Hennepin County sends property owners a notice detailing the market value of their property. Following this, County staff hosts a series of Open Book meetings throughout April for property owners to review and discuss their assessments. Property owners can attend any meeting, regardless of which city their property is in.

Taxpayers who have questions about their assessments may contact the County assessor directly at any time after receiving their valuation notice and before the County Board of Appeal and Equalization meets. Each valuation notice includes a phone number that will put residents in touch with the appropriate appraiser or assessor for their jurisdiction.

For valuation and property sale information, visit the Hennepin County website at www.hennepin.us/residents/property/assessment.
