Golden Valley residents can file to run for City Council starting July 29. On Nov 4, voters will elect two Council Members to four-year non-partisan (don’t represent political parties) positions. Candidates must meet eligibility guidelines, and those who are elected will take office in January 2026.

- Filing Dates: July 29 through Aug 12, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Offices are open until 5 pm Aug 12.
- Withdrawal Deadline: Aug 14 at 5 pm
- Fee: $5
- Filing Location: City Clerk’s office (second floor of City Hall), 7800 Golden Valley Rd

Apply To Be An Election Judge
Election judges open and close polling places, register new voters, explain voting procedures, and assist voters and full-time elections staff throughout the day. Judges may be assigned to serve in the precinct where they live or elsewhere in the city.
