The Metropolitan Council is seeking public feedback on a proposed amendment to its 2050 Transportation Policy Plan, which would update and add two major regional transitway projects.
The amendment includes a revised route for the METRO Blue Line Extension, which now spans 13.4 miles and includes 13 stations from Target Field to downtown Minneapolis through north Minneapolis, Robbinsdale, Crystal, and Brooklyn Park.
It also proposes adding the METRO Gold Line Extension, a planned bus rapid transit route running along I-94 between downtown St Paul and downtown Minneapolis.
Written comments will be accepted through 5 pm Wednesday, Aug 27. Submissions can be made online, by email, through recording a message at 651-602-1500 (TTY 651-221-9886), or by mail to 390 Robert St N, St Paul, MN 55101.
