Registration for Step to it, Hennepin County’s free activity challenge, is open now. This challenge runs from May 1-May 28 and is open to anyone who lives or works in Golden Valley.
Step to it aims to motivate people of all ages and abilities to become more physically active for four weeks. Participants can log all of their activity on their online account, no pedometer or exercise equipment is necessary. All activity counts, including activities such as biking, skateboarding, and gardening.
The most active communities and individuals will be recognized with awards and prizes. Minnesota Twins tickets will be given to individuals in each community who log the most steps in their age bracket. These individuals will also be recognized at a Twins game. Random drawings for Twins tickets will also take place throughout the duration of the challenge.
