The Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) is accepting applications for the spring 2025 Lawns to Legumes pollinator habitat grants program. This initiative aims to enhance habitat for at-risk pollinators in residential areas throughout Minnesota by offering reimbursement-based funding, workshops, coaching, and gardening resources.
Eligibility is open to Minnesota residents with yards, decks, or other outdoor spaces suitable for planting. Participants can receive reimbursement of up to $400 for expenses related to establishing new pollinator habitats. Both homeowners and renters in Minnesota are eligible to apply.
The application deadline for the spring 2025 funding cycle is November 30, 2024. Previous applicants must submit a new application to be considered. Residents can apply at www.bluethumb.org/lawns-to-legumes/apply. For more information on Lawns to Legumes, visit www.bwsr.state.mn.us/l2l.
