Residents have several options to sustainably dispose of their Halloween pumpkins this fall. Instead of tossing them in the trash, you can compost pumpkins at home.
Before disposal, make sure all pumpkins are free of candles, wax, and decorations. Pumpkins can be placed in backyard compost bins or organics recycling carts.
