The Golden Valley Garden Club’s (GVGC) October meeting topic is “Hydroponic Gardening, The Very Easy Way” presented by Larry Cipolla, master gardener and author of Hydroponic Gardening The Very Easy Way. The meeting will take place Tuesday, Oct 22, 6:30 pm at Brookview.
This meeting is perfect for those who want to grow pesticide-free veggies and herbs all year round with hydroponics. The step-by-step meeting will introduce gardeners to the passive deep-water culture (DWC) hydroponic system; how to grow what you want in standard, low-cost, food-safe containers (buckets, totes, and PVC tubes); basic materials and supplies needed; and more.
Larry Cipolla has been a Master Gardener in Hennepin County for 20 years, the State Advisory Board for three years, started the first for-profit plant sale and learning garden tour, and is a published author of seven titles. His focus is on integrating soil and water-based gardens for year-round gardening.
This event is free and open to both members and non-members.
