The Metropolitan Council has determined that the wastewater spill in Golden Valley on Oct 11 is no longer impacting the water quality of Bassett Creek. Warning signs are being removed.
Water quality crews from the Met Council Environmental Services division tested water quality at seven testing sites along Bassett Creek five times over a 12-day span. Met Council scientists, working with the Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission and the City of Golden Valley, determined that Bassett Creek has returned to its background water quality.
