Golden Valley’s annual spring brush pick-up will begin April 28, allowing residents to dispose of tree limbs and brush as part of the City’s recycling program.
The City will be divided into three sections, with each section assigned a designated week. If there is a lot of brush, pick-up may take longer than a week in some areas.
Pick Up Schedule
Section 1: Week of April 28
Area north of Hwy 55 and west of Douglas Dr
Section 2: Week of May 5
Area north of Hwy 55 and east of Douglas Dr
Section 3: Week of May 12
Area south of Hwy 55
Brush Collection Guidelines
- Residents must place brush at the curb by 7 am on the Monday of their scheduled pick-up week.
- Brush must be under 4 inches in diameter and no longer than 8 feet.
- Stack brush neatly with larger ends facing the street.
- Do not use plastic bags.
- Keep all brush clear of sidewalks, mailboxes, streetlights, sign poles, fences, and power lines.
- If piles do not fit between the curb or sidewalk, place them on the boulevard behind the sidewalk.
- Only tree limbs and brush will be collected. Leaves, grass clippings, stumps, building lumber, landscape timbers, and garbage won't be accepted. Piles containing unapproved items will be left behind.
