GVPD Builds Connections Through Splatball
On June 12, officers joined a group of local teens for a fun game of splatball in NE Minneapolis. The event centered on building relationships and creating positive experiences between youth and law enforcement. Several of the teens shared plans for college, sports, and even expressed interest in becoming police officers one day!
2025 Public Safety Open House Was A Great Success!
Last month’s Public Safety Open House was complete with tours of the Police Station and Fire Station 1, hands-on equipment demos, and prizes for attendees. Thanks to everyone who came out to meet the staff that works hard to keep the community safe!
Golden Valley CSOs Reunite A Lost Dog With Her Owner
Last month, Lavender the dog was reunited with his family after being reported as missing for two days. A special thanks to CSO Loreen Mills for helping make this reunion happen.
GVPD At Meadowbrook Elementary School Safety Camp
Golden Valley Police Officers, along with the GVPD Drone Team members, participated in the Meadowbrook Elementary School Safety camp. Officers demonstrated the various drones they use on a daily basis, answered questions, and showed off the gear they wear every day. The kids enjoyed looking at all the gear and learning how everything works!
