Golden Valley City Attorney Maria Cisneros will be featured on a live panel discussion Thursday, Oct 2, 4 to 6 pm on the history of restrictive racial property covenants in the Twin Cities and efforts to repair their impact.
The event, hosted by the University of St Thomas Real Estate Program in partnership with the Racial Justice Initiative, will take place at the St Thomas campus in St Paul. It will include clips from the PBS documentaries Jim Crow of the North and A Racial Border in Minneapolis, opening remarks, and a panel discussion with subject experts.
