Hopkins Public Schools would like to incorporate the 5300 Glenwood Ave building into the Meadowbrook Elementary School campus. This would allow for an improvements to the east entrance drive to prevent traffic back-ups onto Glenwood. Stormwater treatment infrastructure, replacement lighting, and new landscaping would be added. Future special education and virtual programs would be located in the 5300 building. City approvals are needed for a Future Land Use Map Amendment, a Zoning Map Amendment, and a Major Amendment to the existing Planned Unit Development (PUD), or master plan for the campus.

Project Summary

Two four-story market rate apartments are planned to replace the old Tenant office building at the corner of Douglas Dr and Golden Valley Rd. Both buildings will be set close to the street right-of-way and parking will be to the rear. The north building will have 103 units; the south building will have 104 units. Planned amenity spaces include a fitness lab, golf simulator, community kitchen, game room, swimming pool, and a roof deck.

10 West End renderingProject Summary

10 West End is an 11-story office building and 7-level parking ramp that spans the municipal boundary between St. Louis Park and Golden Valley. The office building is over 344,000 square feet in size and has an 1,800 square foot sky deck on the top floor. The parking ramp has space for more than 1,200 vehicles and contains electric charging stations. A 10 West End had its official grand opening late in 2021. A second building, 20 West End, is anticipated in the near future.
