Garden beds at Medley Park's new community garden will be awarded to residents via lottery. Registration for the lottery will be open Jan 9, 8:30 am, through Jan 23, 11:59 pm. The random draw will occur Jan 25, and winners will be notified via email immediately after.
Winners will have seven days to pay the rental fee and sign the use guidelines. A second round of registration will open in early February for non-residents, if space allows. There is no cost to enter the lottery.
Renting a garden bed for the season will cost $35 for residents and $50 for non-residents, and the garden is expected to open mid-May. If gardens aren’t planted by June 15, containers will be offered to those on the waitlist.
